Archer's Baptism
For Archer’s baptism, we went back to the church where we got married in Cartagena, Colombia. It’s such a special place for us, and we thought it was the perfect opportunity since we were already planning to go there with the family for Christmas. It’s also really nice that Connor’s family loves Cartagena because my family goes there often for the holidays, and now we can make it a tradition for everyone.
For the ceremony, Archer wore a dress and hat that Connor and his two siblings had used for their baptisms. His mom, Julie, kept it in perfect condition for over 30 years, which made it even more special. I wore a champagne-colored set designed by Estefania Atelier. I sent her some ideas, and she created the most gorgeous outfit. I paired it with Manolo Blahnik satin shoes and went with a sleek ponytail since it was a daytime event, and Cartagena can get so hot. I added a delicate gold chain with Archer’s diamond initial and pear-shaped earrings.Connor kept it simple and classic in a white linen shirt, khaki pants, and Gucci shoes.
The decor was done by our wedding planner, who’s just amazing at bringing my ideas to life. After the ceremony, we had a lunch at Hotel Santa Clara, where I had envisioned a floral arch with a long table set underneath. It turned out absolutely perfect.
