Bridal Lunch
When I got engaged, my friends planned a surprise celebration at my friend’s apartment, where everyone wore pastels, and we played bridal games. It was so much fun! However, I had a vision of a more sophisticated bridal luncheon that I knew probably wouldn’t be planned by anyone but me—given that I’m the one who plans every event in my friend group. So, I did just that.
My cousin, Camila, who is also my maid of honor, flew in from Colombia for it, which made it extra special. The rest of the guests were my bridesmaids, and this was when I gave them their bridesmaids' gifts and officially asked them to be part of the wedding.
We held the luncheon at an NYC restaurant called MAMO, where we had a delicious brunch and bottomless drinks. We were all dressed in pink, and it was everything I dreamed of and more. I absolutely love the photos from this event—Marcela, who takes the photos at LoveShackFancy, captured the day, and I’m so glad I made that investment.
The menu cards were hand-painted by Deanna, another amazing artist I met at DVF, and they were handwritten by my friend’s mom. We took photos, shared stories, and had so much fun!
After brunch, we crossed the street to Felix, a French restaurant that always turns into a party. I had a table there because it’s the place where I spent so many of my party years. Connor showed up with pink flowers, which made the day even more special.
I can’t say I remember much after that—we definitely drank the afternoon away, lol.
