HOW I PLAN MY GUESTS ITINERARY
I love when my friends and family visit me in New York City, not only I get to show them my favorite local spots and provide a unique experience but also, I get to spend quality time with them which I usually don’t get to do too often because we live in different countries.
I am always grateful for these visits but for those who live in New York you know how busy life gets and trying to do all you do in your daily routine plus having people staying over for a week can be a little overwhelming.

Reason why before my guests arrive I write down a daily detailed itinerary. To make sure they don’t miss anything important and also for me to have a schedule and try not to go crazy with so much going on!

New York is divided by areas and they are all extremely different. I honestly know most about Manhattan and just about a few places in Brooklyn. So, I show my guest what I know about! And the life I live in New York.

With that being said, it is important to divide the itinerary by zones. One day we cover each zone.

See below an Example of how I do it!
-
Monday: LOWER MANHATTAN: 9/11 memorial, Westfield/oculus mall, then head to MIDTOWN: Hudson yards, the vessel, Eataly
-
Tuesday: SOHO: Piccola Cucina Soho and shopping in Broadway
-
Wednesday: walk Brooklyn bridge to DUMBO, lunch at Cecconi's Dumbo
-
Thursday: MEATPACKING/CHELSEA: walk the highline, Chelsea market, west village
-
Friday: DOWNTOWN: Walk from flat iron to Washington square park
-
Saturday: EAST VILLAGE Indian dinner at Pana II then drinks in the area
-
Sunday: UPPER EAST/WEST SIDE: walk around central park, met museum, fifth avenue, the plaza hotel, cafe Fiorello, the Rockettes, Rockefeller center, Saint Patrick’s, Times Square, lion king, Bryant park

Tip: Don’t feel guilty if you have to send your guests with the itinerary the first portion of the day while you go to work! You will meet them along the way and end up the day with a fun dinner together!
