Cappadocia
T U R K E Y
Cappadocia is the most amazing place I’ve
ever been to! I’ve never seen anything like it
before and I don’t think I ever will.
The city has such a calm, effortless vibe and everything is so relaxing. Every hotel is
beautiful but a local suggested the Argos.
Domestic flights are inexpensive and efficient in Turkey, making these day trips to other
regions super easy.
The first thing you need to schedule, and their main attraction is a Hot Air Balloon ride;
the hotel will book this for you.
It is a little scary at the beginning, but then you get to enjoy the view. The company
records the experience so you get to keep this incredible memory. Upon your descent,
you get to have some local champagne and celebrate. This was one of my favorite
things we did on this trip. If you go to Turkey, this is a must.
Cappadocia is best known for its unique rock formations known as fairy chimneys. It’s a
spectacular sight from the ground, but even more stunning when viewed from a hot air
balloon.
Another cool thing we did was riding a camel. As with the hot air balloon, scary at the
beginning, but then you get used to it.
They offer jeep tours that take you to Cappadocia’s top attractions. We went to a
jeweler to see how they shape silver, and made ceramic pieces ourselves. So fun! My
parents bought this amazing handmade ceramic centerpiece and they shipped it all the
way to Colombia! The perfect way to remember this breathtaking trip!
